Tiny Survivor Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy · Version 1.0 ·Effective · Last updated

This Privacy Policy explains how Tiny Survivor (the "Game"), published by Forsyth Development LLC ("we", "us"), handles information.

The short version

  • Tiny Survivor has no accounts and no servers of ours that receive your data. Your progress is saved on your device.
  • If you are signed in to Apple Game Center, your scores can appear on leaderboards. Apple handles that data.
  • The Game shows optional rewarded video ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect certain device and ad information to serve and measure ads. You control tracking permissions.
  • Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Who we are

Forsyth Development LLC is a California limited liability company. Contact: matthew.forsyth01@gmail.com.

Information stored on your device

The Game saves a local file on your device with your game data: best time, kills, and wave reached; an in-progress run; shards (in-game currency) and unlocked or selected cosmetics; audio, haptics, and display settings; revive count; and pending leaderboard scores. This file stays on your device and is not sent to us. We do not use iCloud to store it.

Apple Game Center

The Game uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards (best time, kills, and wave). If you sign in to Game Center, the Game submits your scores to Apple, and Apple shows your Game Center display name with them to you and, depending on your settings, to other players. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your name, email, or other Game Center account details. You can manage Game Center in iOS Settings → Game Center.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The Game offers an optional rewarded video ad that lets you continue after a defeat (a "revive"). Ads are provided by Google AdMob using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To show and measure ads, Google may collect and use information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device and app information, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

  • Consent: where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), the Game shows Google's consent form before ads load, and you can choose whether to allow personalized ads. Where you give consent, that consent is the basis on which Google processes your data for ads; you can change your choice later where the Game or Google's consent tool offers it.
  • App Tracking Transparency: the Game may ask permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites to show more relevant ads. If you decline, you can still play for free and ads will not use your advertising identifier for tracking. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Limiting ads: you can also reset your advertising identifier or limit ad tracking in iOS settings.

Under some state privacy laws (such as California's), personalized advertising through an SDK like this may be treated as "sharing" or "selling" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you do not want that, decline tracking when the Game asks, or turn it off in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Even if you decline, ads may still be shown, but they will not use your advertising identifier for tracking.

In-app purchases

The Game offers an optional consumable purchase, the 3 Revive Pack, which gives three revives. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we receive no card or billing information. The number of revives you hold is saved in your local game data.

Other third parties

The Game does not include any other analytics, crash-reporting, or social SDKs. Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store statistics and, if you have opted in to share diagnostics with developers, crash reports, which do not identify you to us.

If you contact us

If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the Game, and we keep it as long as needed for that and for our records. You can ask us to delete it. Our website's contact form is covered by the website privacy notice.

Backups

Your iPhone may include the Game's local save file in an iCloud or computer backup, depending on your iOS settings. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple.

Permissions

The Game does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location. It may request tracking permission (described above), and Game Center may ask you to sign in.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information for money. The only parties that receive data through the Game are Apple (Game Center and App Store purchases) and Google (ads), as described above, each under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, though we hold essentially none.

Retention and deleting your data

Your local game data stays on your device until you delete it. You can erase it with Settings → Reset progress in the Game, or by deleting the Game. Because we do not collect or store your data, we have nothing to delete on our side. Game Center data is managed by Apple, and advertising data is managed by Google; use their tools and your iOS settings to manage it.

Children

Tiny Survivor is a general-audience game with mild cartoon fantasy violence, and it shows ads, so it is not directed to children under 13 and is not in the App Store Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly show personalized ads to them. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided information through the Game, contact us and we will help.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, the EEA, or the UK), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. We do not collect personal information through the Game, so we hold none. For data held by Apple or Google, use their privacy tools. You can email us with any request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals; the Game's ad tracking is controlled through the iOS tracking setting described above.

Security

Game data is stored in the Game's private storage on your device and protected by your device's security features. No method of storage is completely secure, so keep your device updated and protected.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date, and note significant changes in the App Store release notes or in the Game.
