QuotePro Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy · Version 1.0 ·Effective · Last updated

This Privacy Policy explains how QuotePro — The Contractors App (the "App"), published by Forsyth Development LLC ("we", "us"), handles information. We wrote it to be plain and short because the App is built to keep your business data on your own device.

The short version

  • QuotePro has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers that receive your data.
  • The customer records, quotes, photos, videos, signatures, and payment records you enter are stored on your device. We cannot see them.
  • The App contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting tools, and no tracking.
  • We do not sell or share your information, because we do not collect it.

Who we are

Forsyth Development LLC is a California limited liability company. Contact: matthew.forsyth01@gmail.com.

Information you enter into the App

You use the App to run your contracting business. Depending on how you use it, you may enter:

  • Customer records: names, addresses, phone numbers, and custom notes or fields.
  • Quotes and jobs: line items, change orders, expenses, labor entries, inspections, notes, scheduled dates, and payment amounts and dates.
  • Photos that you take with the camera or choose from your photo library for a customer's job (for example before-and-after pictures) and their captions.
  • Your business profile: business name, contractor license number, business phone number, logo, and saved signature.
  • Signatures drawn on screen, and PDF documents the App generates (quotes, contracts, change orders).

All of this is stored locally in the App's storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to any server we operate. The App does not process card payments; the payment fields only record amounts and dates that you type in.

Device permissions

  • Camera: if you take a job photo or video inside the App, the App asks for camera access. The photo or video is saved into that customer's job in the App on your device.
  • Photo library: when you choose a logo or add existing photos or videos to a job, the App asks for access to your photo library (iOS may let you share only selected photos). The App reads only what you choose and keeps its own copy inside the App's storage on your device.
  • Microphone: if you record a video with sound, iOS asks for microphone access. Audio is saved only inside the video on your device.
  • Notifications: if you schedule reminders on the calendar, the App may ask permission to show local notifications on your device. These reminders are created and delivered on your device; they are not sent through our servers.

The camera and photo library are used only when you ask the App to capture or pick photos and videos. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → QuotePro; the App works without them, but you will not be able to add photos or videos.

Sharing and sending documents

The App lets you share generated PDFs using the standard iOS share sheet. When you choose to send a document (for example by email, message, or AirDrop), it goes to the destination you pick, under that service's own privacy practices. We do not receive a copy.

Analytics, advertising, and third-party services

The App does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking tools, and does not connect to third-party services to operate. Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store statistics (such as download counts) and, if you have opted in to share diagnostics with developers in iOS settings, crash reports. We do not receive your name or the data you enter through those reports.

Backups

Your iPhone may back up App data through iCloud Backup or a computer backup, depending on your iOS settings. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us. If you delete the App or lose your device without a backup, your QuotePro data may be permanently lost, because we do not hold a copy.

Retention and deleting your data

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual records, photos, videos, signatures, and logos inside the App, or remove all App data by deleting the App from your device. Because we do not collect or store your data, we have nothing to delete on our side. See also the QuotePro support page.

If you contact us

If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message (and any attachments). We use it only to reply to you and to improve the App, and we keep it as long as needed for that and for our records. You can ask us to delete it. We do not link it to any data in the App, because we do not have that data. Our website's contact form is covered by the website privacy notice.

Your customers' information

If you enter information about your own customers, you are responsible for handling it lawfully (for example, telling customers how you use their details and following any local rules for contractors). That information stays in your App and is not accessible to us.

Children

QuotePro is a business tool for contractors and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information that a company holds about you. We do not collect or hold personal information through the App, so there is nothing to access or delete. If you have a question or believe we hold information about you, email us and we will respond. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context advertising. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because the App does not track you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Security

Your data lives in your device's app storage, protected by the security features of your device (such as passcode and encryption). Keep your device up to date and protected with a passcode.

Changes to this policy

If the App's data practices change (for example if we add cloud sync or an account system), we will update this policy and its effective date, and describe the changes in the App Store release notes or in the App before the change takes effect.
